Questions, answered

What is Gladly?

Gladly is a daily affirmations and gratitude app for iPhone. Each day you read a new affirmation, tap how you feel, and tap what you're grateful for. It takes about 15 seconds, with no writing. Peanut, a plush baby elephant companion, reacts to your mood and cheers you on.

Do I have to write anything?

No. You pick one of five moods and tap gratitude stickers, and you're done. If you'd like your own words, Gladly Premium adds custom stickers and short notes.

How is Gladly different from a gratitude journal?

A gratitude journal asks you to write. Gladly asks you to tap: one mood, then any of 22 positive gratitude stickers. It keeps the daily habit of noticing the good without the blank page. More on gratitude without journaling.

Who writes the affirmations?

People do. Gladly has 434 hand-written affirmations across themes like self-worth, calm, growth, rest and courage, and none repeats within a year. They aren't generated by AI.

What happens if I miss a day?

Nothing bad. You get one free grace day every week, so a single missed day keeps your streak going. Peanut never scolds you, and after a break Gladly shows the days you've had together, never a zero.

Is Gladly free?

Yes, with no time limit. The daily affirmation, the check-in with Peanut and all 22 stickers, gentle streaks, the Home Screen widget, this month's insights, last month's "30 Days of Reflection" recap and 3 skies are free. Gladly Premium adds all 12 skies, ambient sounds, Year in Gratitude story cards, your full history, Lock Screen widgets and cloud backup for $19.99 a year with a 1-week free trial, or $2.99 a month (US prices).

Does Gladly track me?

No. There are no ads, no trackers and no third-party analytics, and you don't need an account. Your check-ins stay on your iPhone unless you turn on cloud backup, and you can export or delete everything at any time.

Is Gladly therapy?

No. Gladly is a small, kind daily ritual, not therapy or medical care. If you're having a hard time, please reach out to a professional or someone you trust.

Which devices does Gladly work on?

iPhone with iOS 17 or later, in English. It's coming soon to the App Store. More answers are on the support page.

See you tomorrow.
